Disability

Due to an escalation in the severity of a long standing back injury, it looks like I'll no longer be able to work as a truck driver. I now find myself at the age of 51 trying to do a complete about turn in my career and try to get a job in an office. This is I think is going to take a certain amount of "blagging" as I have very little experience of office work.
It couldn't have happened at a worse time with the economy the way it is unfortunately these things have a way of coming along when you least expect them. 
I have no idea how some people can live their whole lives on benefits. they must know some stuff that I don't. All I know is that I am going to have to find a new job soon or I'm going to be in deep trouble financially.
